1. What types of alterations do you offer?
We provide a wide range of services, including hemming pants, dresses, and skirts; taking in or letting out seams; adjusting waistlines; shortening sleeves; zipper replacements; jacket and coat tailoring; and custom-fit adjustments.
2. How do I place an order for alterations?
Simply select the service you need from our online catalog, add it to your cart, and complete checkout. Then ship your garment(s) to us using the provided instructions. We’ll take care of the rest.
3. Do you work with all fabrics?
Yes, we work with most common fabrics including cotton, denim, knits, wool, and formal wear materials. Some delicate fabrics (like silk, lace, or leather) may require special handling and may include an additional charge.
4. How long do alterations take?
Standard turnaround time is 7–10 business days after we receive your garment. Rush service may be available for an additional fee—contact us before ordering to confirm availability.
5. How do I ship my garments to you?
After checkout, you’ll receive packing and shipping instructions. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure safe delivery.
6. Who pays for shipping?
Customers cover the cost of sending garments to us. We provide free return shipping once alterations are complete, so you only pay to ship your garments in.
7. Do you provide fittings?
For local customers, fittings may be available by appointment. For mail-in orders, we provide detailed measuring guides to ensure the best fit possible.
8. How should I measure myself or my garments for alterations?
You have two options: - Body Measurements: Use a soft measuring tape to take your bust, waist, hip, inseam, and sleeve length. - Garment Measurements: If you have a similar piece of clothing that fits well, measure that garment instead. For pants, please provide both inseam (crotch to hem) and outseam (waist to hem). For hems or sleeves, you can also tell us how many inches you’d like the item shortened (e.g., “shorten by 2 inches".
9. What if my garment doesn’t fit after alterations?
Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If the garment still needs adjustments, contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, and we’ll work with you to make it right.
10. What is your return or refund policy?
Because alterations are a customized service, refunds are not offered once work begins. However, if there is an issue with workmanship, we will gladly rework the garment at no extra charge.
11. How much do alterations cost?
Prices vary depending on the service. You can view our Price Sheet on the website for common alterations such as hems, zippers, and side adjustments. Custom jobs may be quoted individually.
12. Do I need to wash my garment before sending it?
Yes, please send freshly laundered garments. This ensures safe handling and the best results during the alteration process.
